About Natively

Natively is a free-for-personal-use, source-available AI meeting assistant, interview copilot and note taker for macOS and Windows.

What Natively is

It runs on your own computer and listens to the meeting there, so no bot joins the call. During a call it writes a live transcript, suggests what to say when you ask, and keeps notes; afterwards it leaves a summary and the action items. The AI behind it is your choice: your own API keys with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or OpenRouter, a local model through Ollama, or a managed Natively plan.

On the apps listed on the supported apps page, the overlay does not appear in screen shares or recordings. It works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack huddles, Webex, Discord and any other app that plays audio, on macOS and Windows.

Who makes it

Natively is made by Natively AI Private Limited. Evin John founded the company and builds the product; he is on X as @evinjohnn. The company publishes its code on GitHub and is on LinkedIn and YouTube.

How it is built and tested

The source code is public on GitHub under the Natively Personal Use Source License, which makes it free for personal use; it is not open source. Every release goes out on GitHub with its notes, and the changelog lists them in order.

The speed claim is measured, not asserted: the answer-latency benchmark gives the method, the numbers and the files, so anyone can rerun it. What leaves your machine, and what never does, is set out in the privacy policy.

Contact

Questions, bug reports and fact checks: [email protected]. Writers will find the logo, a real screenshot and the product facts in the press kit.

Editorial

The blog is written by Evin John, who also builds the product, so every post comes from inside one tool and says so where it matters. Prices and facts about other products are checked against those vendors' own pages before a post goes out, and a check is dated where it is cited. Each post shows the day it was published and, once its body has been revised, the day of the last revision.

If something on this site is wrong, write to [email protected] with the page address and what you found. The correction is made on the page itself, and the page's revision date changes.

Put it on your own machine.

A live-conversation assistant that runs locally. Your conversations stay on your machine.
